About
The Bocchino family originated from Italy in a country town called Naples. The family moved to Tasmania, Australia, in 1969 and lived in Sandy Bay. The challenge of settling into a new country was decreased by the small but supportive Italian community. Speaking English was on the top of the list of things to achieve while settling in. English proved to be a constant challenge when communicating to fellow schoolmates and neighbours. As the years passed, their English improved but not rapidly enough to abstain from learning the rude words first. It’s Italian custom to be hospitable to all people and to always work hard. No matter what the job is you have to always do your best, and if it’s not good enough then learn how to do it better. This quality was continued in Tasmania by the parents and was strongly affirmed into the kids which led to them excelling in all the small side jobs they embarked upon. They included bagging at the local grocery store, painting, floor polishing and Nino took a mechanic apprenticeship at the local VW mechanic shop. The interest in cars grew amongst the other siblings as the eldest succeeded in his field of mechanics and cars becoming more observed by the ladies. This spawned an interest within the other three bothers and not long after Luigi took up a panel beating apprenticeship. The duo began a backyard workshop with secondhand equipment and help from other family members. Work for friends and family became more frequent and Alfonso began a trade in mechanical work. Not long after the youngest brother Vincenzo took up a spray painting apprenticeship. It became clear that the four brothers could sustain their own business processes. However, they didn’t have any more siblings to fill in a business role. Alfonso took up the challenge to go back to school to learn accounting and the art of running a small business. Sitting down for long periods of time proved to be a major change and challenge to the normal lifestyle, after each role was filled; mechanic, panel beater, spray painter and accountant, the Bocchino brothers register the business name: BOCCHINO MOTORS in 1978. The backyard jobs were done fast but quality was always the over powering criterion. This trait became a major attraction to potential customers. The friendly relationships that the Bocchino’s possess with their customers also added to the success of acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones. Fast forward to today and Bocchino Motors still prides itself on quality workmanship. They are accredited and qualified panel repairers as well as being a preferred BMW repairer and authorised Land Rover and Jaguar repairer. The building has had major changes since the first shed and the technology is constantly changing to be kept up to date with the latest automotive repair industry requirements. But one thing has not changed, and that is the motivation to produce the highest quality in automotive repairs and customer service in Tasmania. See More..

Everything you need to know about Car Scratch Repairs in Battery Point, TAS

DingGo offers a comprehensive range of Car Scratch Repairs options. Scratches to car paint are very commonplace during a vehicle's lifetime. Many scratches that would require Car Scratch Repairs are accidental and are most commonly caused by keys, kids, car parks, garages and collisions with other vehicles. Car Scratch Repairs requirements are dictated by the length and the depth of the scratch. Some surface level car paint scratches can just be easily buffed out while others that go all the way to the metal require more extensive panel beating, including painting and application of clear coats. The colour and type of paint on your car also makes a big difference to the smash repair process and particularly the cost. With most standard colours and paints, a panel beater can easily source the required paint and simply paint the localised area of the car where the damage has occurred. If your car colour is metallic or for example a three-layer pearl, then more coats of paint are required and more extensive paint repair is required, including paint blending on surrounding panels to match the paint repaired area. This can mean a simple small scratch can require a large amount of paintwork and repairs to return the car back to its original factory condition.

Often getting basic touch-ups to save money in the short term is tempting, however in most cases quick touch-ups are not recommended. Most touch-ups leave the damage still visible from the onset, leaving a dark patch on your car where it’s evident the repairs took place. Alternatively, if the Car Scratch Repairs are done well by a quality car repair shop, then even in the harsh Australian climate your repair won’t fade and the original scratch damage will remain invisible. Also make sure you always check the length of warranty a car repair shop is offering you on their Car Scratch Repairs work. Car Scratch Repairs should always come with a warranty on the work. DingGo includes all warranty guarantees from their Car Scratch Repairs in every quote.

DingGo Car Scratch Repairs experts are here to help you save money and time figuring out what's the best repair option for you. Common Questions and Answers About Car Scratch Repairs in Battery Point, TAS

How much do Car Scratch Repairs cost to fix?

Costs for repairing Car Scratch Repairs depends on the depth of the scratch, the colour of the paint and the type of paint. Three-layer pearls and metallic paints, for example, add to the cost of the Car Scratch Repairs. In many cases paint blending on surrounding panels is also required so the paint repairs are not noticeable. The extent of damage and where it's located on the car can see Car Scratch Repairs cost between $250 to $500 for each damaged panel and each surrounding panel that requires paint blending. What is paint blending and why is that important in fixing Car Scratch Repairs?

Paint blending is required for most Car Scratch Repairs so the colour of the car looks consistent. If you just paint the scratched area only then the newly painted panel will look different compared to the old paint on the other panels of the car. Some colours and paint types require larger amounts of blending to give a car perfect a factory finish. Without blending the scratch repaired panels will stick out like a new bathroom tile.

What is a ‘paint touch up’ and why is it much cheaper?

As the name suggests a touch up is when the repairer literally paints over the scratched area only. Protective finishing clear coats are usually not applied either. With very small scratches this process is usually good enough. However, with the majority of scratches, a touch-up job is not recommended as they will leave a dark, noticeable mark over the damaged area and will likely fade in the harsh Australian climate within 6 to 12 months.

What are Small to Medium Area Repair Technologies?

Small to Medium Area Repair Technologies are meant for small Car Scratch Repairs, dents or dings that can be repaired efficiently without needing conventional panel beating methods. In the case of Car Scratch Repairs, this usually means isolating the painting and blending to a minimal area to save time and costs.
